Seattle Strollers

Water Colour on paper 9.5" x 14"
I had been to Seattle many times during my stay in the Unites States between 2007 and 2010. I just, absolutely loved the place, the climate, the people and everything.
My aunt who stays there sent me fotos of their walk in Arboretum and I just could not resist painting from them.

Ghat

Water Colour on Paper 9.5" x 14"
I have tried to capture the mood and movement on a typical Ghat in India. The word Ghat has two meanings in Marathi - one is winding roads in mountains and the other is a place which has temple or temples near a river. Such area is sacred and many times holy ceremonies are also performed on the banks of the river. In this case maybe below the many umbrellas :-)
Hope you like this

Get out and away....

May 2012 - 003

We always need some proof that God is around. The beautiful path, evening sunlight, wonderful trees, cool breeze, chirping of birds and we walking in the woods in not enough proof.

Soak the paper with water.... hit it with pure colours and sit back relax and enjoy.
Let the paper dry. Hit the foreground with some brush strokes and the painting is ready ;-)

Life is sooooooo simple.

Water colour on paper 9.5" x 14"
A simple, loose painting of a typical village scene with Temple and a river flowing by.

Simple living really takes you near the Creator. Given our so called hectic life-style do we have time to appreciate the nature and in turn the Creator? why just appreciate.... the way we live do we actually see nature at all? I doubt...

Just another Evening

Water Colour on Paper 12" x 16"

The Creator always throws in a different touch in every evening. He has an abundance of colours and themes and moreover ideas.
We mortals often get Blocked. Sometimes we cannot write properly and at other times we cannot sleep well, most of the times we cannot work well ;-)  The fact of the matter is that when we cannot think right we call it a "Block" and pass the buck.
If we just try and stay positive and just think good I am sure we won't be blocked at all or won't consider that as a block but just another minor bump in a long journey.
